Safety and crisis boundaries

Foundry is an adult outpatient psychiatric practice. Care is provided through scheduled appointments and established patient communication pathways. Foundry is not an emergency service, crisis center, hospital, or detoxification program.

If you or someone you are with needs urgent or emergency help

If there is immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

For suicidal thoughts, emotional distress, or a mental health or substance-use crisis, call or text 988.

988 is for behavioral health crisis support, including emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, and mental health or substance-use crises. 911 is for immediate physical danger, urgent medical emergencies, fire, police, or emergency medical response.

If you are physically located in Massachusetts, you may also call or text the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Help Line at 833-773-2445. If you are physically located in Rhode Island, you may contact 988 or BH Link at 401-414-5465.

Use emergency or crisis resources right away for immediate danger, suicidal intent, inability to stay safe, risk of harm to others, overdose, severe withdrawal, chest pain, trouble breathing, seizure, fainting, severe allergic reaction, severe medication reaction, acute mania or psychosis with unsafe behavior, severe agitation, or any situation that may require immediate medical or psychiatric attention.

New patient appointment requests begin with a brief fit and safety review. Use the secure patient portal or contact the office. Do not use the public website for urgent or emergency concerns.
